Golden Oldies

Last week was national Senior Centers Week. There was a Health Fair on May 12, and the board met on that day also. Open house was held Friday, May 15 with KIX radio broadcasting from the center.

Earlene Self was the winner of the $100 grocery certificate donated by Piggly Wiggly. We thank them so much.

Some of the senior adult square dancers went to the Hot Springs Center last week.

Bingo will be played Monday and the primary election will be at the center.

Some games are planned for Wednesday and Thursday and a trip is planned to Hot Springs Friday for the Senior Fun and Fitness Fair. Tuesday, May 19, was dine out night.

The center will be closed Monday May 25. The monthly council will be on May 26.

We have been having visitors and some new ones are attending. We welcome them all. The center has fed 80 people, not counting the staff, several days last week.

The Cover Girls are quilting on the quilt for the Forest Festival.

You who are 60 and older don't realize what a blessing you are missing by not attending the center. A special invitation is extended to each one.

The center is a United Way Agency.
