Pageant PlannedPublished Wednesday, May 20, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe 20th annual Miss Tri-State Teen Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday, July 11, at Harton Auditorium at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. Girls entering grades nine through 12 during the 1998-99 school year and 1998 high school graduates are eligible to enter. Competition will include talent, interview, beauty and evening gown. Interviews, talent rehearsal and orientation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Contestants will be free during the afternoon. The pageant competition for the public will begin at 6:30 p.m. Interested contestants may write Pageantry, P.O. Box 247, McNeil, AR 71752, or call 1- 870-695-3796 to receive entry forms and additional information. A scholarship to attend Southern Arkansas University will be awarded the winner and winners will be announced in all phases of competition. Pageant director is James R. Staggs.
