Club NewsPublished Wednesday, May 27, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneRose Garden Club On May 19, the Rose Garden Club met in the lovely home of Nettie Lemons at 9:30 for a brunch. Betty Turner was co-hostess. The serving tables were covered with white linen clothes centered with day lilies. Following the delicious brunch, the president, Betty Turner, presided over the business session. She stated that National Garden Week will be held June 7-13. She then presented the program. She read, 'Gardening Exercises,' written by Jeffrey Restuccio. She also gave tips on conservation and told of some of the plants that attract butterflies. At the conclusion of the program, each member was asked to tell about their garden and what flowers or plants she would like to share with the other members. Lovely spring arrangements were brought by Leona Ballard and Flo Brackman. Darrel Andrews shared a bouquet of his lemon-orange roses for the group to enjoy.
