Gertrude Ellen BrownPublished Wednesday, June 3, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneGertrude Ellen Brown, 86, of Prescott, died Monday, June 1, 1998, at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Brown was born March 26, 1912, in Boughton. She was a long- time employee of Sterling's Store and Sandusky's Gift Shop. She was a member of Prescott First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Hooks and June Johnson of Prescott; one brother, Thurman Stockton of Bowie, Md.; two sisters, Opal Tarvin and Bessier Moser of North Little Rock; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, June 3, at 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Prescott with Alan Womack and Jerry Smith officiating.
