Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday

Narcotics Anonymous now meets in Gurdon at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 353-6612.

Moms-In Touch prayer group for schools meets at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays at First Baptist Church. Call 887-6376 for additional information.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott in the Social Security room in the courthouse on Thursday, June 25, from 9 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible, call 1- 800-772-1213.

Commodities will be issued on June 18 at the Senior Citizens Center in Prescott. Your card must be reevaluated before commodities can be received.

The Elmore, Dickson and Mayes family reunion will be held June 14 in the Prescott Housing Authority building. Doors will open at 10:30. A potluck lunch will be served.

Carl Dalrymple Accounting will host the monthly Chamber of Commerce coffee. This will also be a ribbon-cutting and open house for their business.

The drop-in hours will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on June 17. The ribbon-cutting will take place at 10:00.

The Snell Cemetery Association will have its annual business meeting June 16 at 6 p.m. at Emmet City Hall. All interested persons are urged to attend.

The Emmet Volunteer Fire Department wishes to invite local and surrounding fire, police and sheriff departments in the challenge of the annual tug-o-war competition, June 27 during the annual fund-raiser (Fun-Fest). For more information, contact Frank Faulk-ner at 887-5670 during the evening.

Grandpa's Place, Highway 355 East in Patmos, will present Barkman Creek from Hooks, Texas, and the Hempstead County Melody Boys Saturday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m.

Willisville Methodist Church will be having its revival services June 14 through 17 at 7 p.m. Rev. Don Nicholson of Magnolia's Asbury Methodist Church will be preaching. Special singing each night. The Ambassadors of Hope will sing Wednesday night. Pastor Sanford Hankins invites everyone to come.

The McKinnon reunion will be held Sunday, June 14, at Prescott Church of Christ fellowship hall.

Morris Baptist Church youth will be sponsoring a car wash Saturday, June 13, at Morris Church in the Caney community. All proceeds will go towards a youth trip this summer.

Cothran Chapel C.M.E. Church will have a three-night revival June 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. Evangelist will be Ronald Scott.
