Elmer F. Rowe Jr.Published Wednesday, June 10, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneElmer F. Rowe Jr., of North Little Rock died Wednesday, June 3, 1998. Mr. Rowe was born January 26, 1925, in Texarkana, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Elmer F. Rowe and Mr. Verda Raiford of Texarkana, Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Little Rock. He graduated from Baylor University and was in the U.S. Army occupation forces n 1946. He retired from Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala., in 1985. Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Easterling Rowe, one brother and daughter-in-law, Joe and Lois Rowe of Palm Beach, Fla., one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Frances and James Upchurch of Texarkana, Texas; and one nephew and four nieces. Memorial services were held at First Baptist Church in North Little Rock Saturday, June 6, with Dr. Timothy Diehl officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Griffin Leggett/Rest Hills Funeral Home of North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University, Little Rock, AR 72207.
