Sorry I have not written any news for several weeks, but Roscoe and I have been on vacation in Branson and Silver Dollar City for several days with Carl and Brenda Vandiver of Midland, Texas, and Brandon, Ginger and Tyler McKinnon of Texarkana.

After we returned home we packed the motor home and went to Ouachita Lake with Doug and Rhonda Morgan of Camden and stayed until after Memorial Day holidays. Friends from Little Rock, Hope and Camden met us there and we all had a great time fishing and camping together. Roscoe's nephew, Dale Lusby, and his family of Ft. Smith were there and we all got to ride in their big luxury boat and watch the kids on the jet ski ride the waves.

Aunt Edna Mae Hart passed away in a Shreveport hospital on Monday last week and the funeral was Wednesday at Rosston Baptist Church with Bro. Arlis East of Hampton and our pastor Petie Ward officiating. Burial was in Bluff Springs Cemetery.

J.P. Hart and the Richard Kenzels appreciated the food that was brought to their homes for suppers and breakfasts. Brad and Mike spent several nights with J.P. before and after the funeral. They returned home Sunday. Aunt Mae was one of the best friends I've ever had. She was like a mother to me and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

On Friday night Roscoe and I, the Richard Kenzels and Brad and Mike Hart of Florida had supper at Little B's in Hope.

Keith, Amber and J.J. Dillard and Nick Ward had a few days' vacation in Branson and Springfield, Mo., at the Pro Bass Shop. They really enjoyed it and Silver Dollar City.

Ellis and Winnie Bailey traveled to Hallsville, Texas, to attend grand-daughter Jennifer's graduation on Friday night.

Dot Broussard and Mary Smith left Wednesday for Florida to visit Dot's children and grandchildren. Her hus-band Paul left for south Louisiana to visit relatives there.

Ruth Vinson is spending a few days with her daughter and grandchildren in Haynesville, La. She had just gotten home from spending a month with her niece and family in Texas or Louisiana, I don't recall which state.

Bro. Petie received a plaque from The Men of Calvary at Magnolia on Saturday night. He has been playing the bass guitar for them for 10 years. Those attending Union Street Station from Rosston were A.B. and Maxine Luck, Roscoe and myself, Lyn Dean Morman, Edna and Johnny Kelly and Janie Franklin.

Jim Mona and Sue Dixon attended a class reunion at Western Sizzlin in Texarkana on Thursday. They report a great time with about 25 in attendance.

Sunday was quarterly luncheon at our church. It was well attended and there were lots of good food.

Jeff Hunt has been visiting grandparents, A.B. and Maxine Luck, for several days. They took him to catch a plane in Texarkana on Tuesday to return to Tampa. They will travel to Little Rock afterwards where Maxine has a doctor's appointment.

Great grandson Tyler of Texarkana spent last weekend with us and attended church with us. Jimmy, Booie and great granddaughter Kathryne of Magnolia came for a while on Sunday afternoon.

Matt Johnson of Laneburg, son of Larry and Kathy Johnson, preached for us last Sunday (youth day) and did a super job. We were happy to have several members of their family in church.

The youth of our church left Tuesday for DeGray Lake. This is a spiritual trip and they will have a guest speaker one night.
