Russ Boys Win Clasic

This year's Chamber Classic Golf Tournament saw the three winning teams in two flights stay close.

In the championship flight, the tandem of Chandler and Kurt Russ took the title with a total score of 60.They were followed by Wayne Glass and Mike Godwin at 64, while Gene Cloer and Dick Hayes finished third with a score of 66.

The first flight was captured by the team of Jim Franks and Dr. Charles Vermont, as they shot a 72.

Bill Virden and Jerry May had a round of 73, as did Toby Edwards and H.T. Lasiter. However, using a scorecard playoff to decide the winner, Virden and May had a birdie on the second hold for the second place finish.

A total of 22 teams were involved in the tourney.
