Published Wednesday, June 10, 1998 in the Gurdon Times

The annual Tiger Cub Basketball Camp for male students in grades four through six will be held June 15 -18 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Roy and Christine Sturgis Physical Education Center on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University.

The cost is $40 per registrant before June 15 and $45 after that date.

The camp will be directed by OBU Tiger head coach Mike Reynolds and assistant Grant Pate.

Individual fundamentals will be covered, including shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding and defense.

Also on the agenda are team games and competition in hot shot, free throw, obstacle course and one on one.

"The camp is a relaxed one," said Reynolds. "Our intent is to pass along some basketball fundamentals, allow the youth to have some fun during competitions and generally get them zeroed in on both early personal and team goals."

For more information, persons should contact coach Reynolds at OBU, P.O. Box 3657, Arkadelphia, AR 71998-0001 or call (870)245-5188.
