Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, June 10, 1998 in the Gurdon Times The Gurdon Senior Adult Center has many activities planned for June. Bingo was played on Monday, June 8. Distributing of commodies will be on June 9 until 3:00 p.m. for those who meet guidelines. We wish to thank Dr. Peeples for the fresh lettuce he has brought to the center. He and Harrell and Geneva Everett keep the center supplied with garden produce during the growing season. This is a fund- raiser for the center. It takes lots of time and effort for them to do this. We want them to know that we appreciate them very much. It takes lots of volunteer hours to keep the center running and open for all those who enjoy it. The quilting ladies are working hard to get the Forest Festival quilt ready. We again extend an invitation for all 60 and over to come and join us. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
