Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.


Mom's in Touch weekly prayer group, praying for local schools and children, meet Tuesdays at 1:45 at First Baptist Church. Call 887-6376 for more information.


The Prescott Middle School PTP is selling Prescott Curley Cubs and Prescott Curley Wolves t-shirts and sweatshirts as a fund-raiser. The t-shirts are $10 and the sweatshirts are $15.

The Prescott Elementary School Parents and Teachers as Partners (PTP) is selling the 1999-2000 t-shirt and sweatshirt Together We Stand Hand In Hand.'

The sweatshirt is $15 and the short-sleeved t-shirt is $10. Both of these shirts are available in youth and adult sizes.

New this year is a long-sleeved t-shirt, which is priced at $15 and is available in adult sizes only.

All proceeds from this sale fund and support Prescott Elementary School and its students through the PTP organization.


The McNeely family reunion will be the October 10 in the community center at Hope's Fair Park.

Everyone is welcome. Potluck is at 1 p.m.


A genealogy research is being done on the Hines name. The annual meeting of the members of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Memorial Fund Association will be held Sunday, October 10, at 2:30 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Community building for the election of directors and such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

All members and anyone interested in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery are invited to attend.


The Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Green Acres Lawn and Logging October 7 at 10 a.m. at 1121 West 1st North in Prescott. Everyone is invited to attend.


The Nevada County Unit of the American Cancer Society will host the Chamber of Commerce coffee for October. It will be held October 13 from 9:30 to 11:00 at Central Baptist Church. Everyone is encouraged to attend.


The class of 1950 will have a class reunion Friday, October 15, and Saturday, October 16, at 6 p.m. each night in the First Baptist Church educational building. Guests are invited. For more information call Maxine Freeman at 887-2267.


The third Riley-Russell wild game supper will be October 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Delight School cafeteria.

There will be door prizes, videos, hunting rules and regulations. Dress camouflage or casual and bring a favorite wild game dish.


The Martin and Jackson reunion was held at White Oak State Park pavilion September 18.

Everyone enjoyed the day. Family and friends from all over Arkansas and some from Oklahoma attended. Reunion will be held September 16 in 2000


Diabetic Education and Support Group will meet Wednesday, October 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Alliance Home Health, 300 East Second South in Prescott.

The group is sponsored by AllCare Pharmacy, Alliance Home Health and the Nevada County Cooperative Extension.


Mary Lou and Don C. Nixon of Prescott are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Audriyana Alexandria Ry'Ann Nixon.

She weighed six pounds and 10 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Grandparents are Rebecca and Donald Nixon of Prescott. Godparents are Francis and Vernon Haynes of Prescott.

Big brothers, Donoven C. and Don'te C., welcomed her home.
