Everyone is cordially invited to join with friends and family in celebrating the one- hundredth birthday of Belva Black on Sunday, June 21, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. The celebration will be at Beech Street Baptist Church, 1305 East Main Street in Gurdon.

The Clark County Farm Service Agency (FSA) will hold a meeting for minority producers to discuss available programs on Thursday, June 11, at 1:30 p.m. at the Piney Grove A.M.E. Church in the Manchester Community.

Go-Devil Bash will be at Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs on June 26 and 27. Classes from the 1950s and '60s are sought. Contact Bill Wells at 870-353-4335.

Annual fish fry will be at the First United Methodist Church in Gurdon on Thursday, June 11, beginning from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Adults can eat for $6 and children 6-12 for $2.50. Children under 6 eat free. Take-outs welcome.

There will be a family reunion for the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of the late Albert and Nancy Smith on June 14 at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center on Main Street next to Piggly Wiggly. Bring a potluck lunch and enjoy the day.

The Levi-Lucy Parks family reunion will be held Saturday, June 20, in the community center at Fair Park in Hope. For more information, call Sandra Morrison at 501-568-4887 or 501- 758-3511.

The 60th Clark and Wingfield reunion will be held Sunday, June 14. Registration will be from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Center Grove Methodist Church. Potluck lunch will be served at noon.

Get Hooked On Jesus is the theme for the vacation Bible school at St. Clair Baptist Church in Burtsell June 15-19 at 6:00 p.m. Sis. Lesa Evans is the coordinator. For more information, call 870-274-3283.

The annual men's and women's day at St. Clair Baptist Church in Burtsell will be June 14 at 2:45 p.m. Pre-musical will June 13 at 7:00 p.m. The guest church will be St. Paul A.M.E. in Arkadelphia.

Shirlene's School of Dance will have its yearly dance recital, Saturday, June 13, at 7:00 p.m. at the Prescott High School auditorium. Admission is free.

Gurdon students are Kon Gills, Destiny Talley, Victoria Allen, Tabitha Manley and Brittney Stroud.

Curtis First Baptist Church will have its homecoming June 14. Services will include morning worship service followed by a potluck dinner. Afternoon services will include congregational and special singing, a memorial time and Bro. Bill Cato will bring a message.

Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will be at Gurdon Municipal Building June 11 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. For more information, you may call 353-2514.

The Warren, Easley and Fretwell family reunion will be held all day June 13 at Gurdon City Park. Bring lawn chairs and potluck.

Sycamore Baptist Church will be traveling to the Holy Land June 13 for vacation Bible school. Departure is at 8:30 a.m. and will return at 5:00 p.m. Come join the adventure. Passports will be provided.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
