Cabe Attends Luncheon In Little Rock

First Lady Janet Huckabee captured the attention of the Committee of 100 during the May 6 luncheon at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion in Little Rock as she praised the Ozark Folk Center.

Guests were greeted by the members of the Committee of 100 and given a tour of the Governor's Mansion by Mrs. Nancy Bingham, assistant to the First Lady.

Committee members were pleased concerning the Governor and First Lady's unofficial trips to the Ozark Folk Center signifying their interest in the Folk Center and the preservation of Arkansas' history.

The committee provides support in various areas to the Ozark Folk Center, including funding for scholarships for apprentice programs.

The luncheon was served in the Governor's Pavilion on the south lawn. The pavilion was decorated with a patriotic theme with red, white and blue bunting and flag streamers.

The serving table was appointed with large brass urns with arrangements of majestic red gladiolus, Queen Anne's lace and assorted greenery. American flags were spotlighted among the greenery on the serving table.

Guests were seated at round tables with arrangements of English Ivy and American flags.

They were served a buffet of artichoke and chicken salad with tarragon vinaigrette, fresh melons, grapes and strawberries. Dessert was parslied bread sticks and Arkansas strawberry trifle.
