Cryus Robert Gray, JrPublished Wednesday, June 17, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneCyrus Robert 'C.R.' Gray Jr. of Newport died Thursday, June 1, 1998, at Newport Hospital. Mr. Gray was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. A veteran of World War II, he was retired from construction business. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Smith Gray; one son, John Robert Gray of California; three daughters, Sylvia 'Ginny' Hanner of Missouri, Linda Cayla of Oklahoma and Brenda Osborn of Jonesboro; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday, June 15, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Father Jon Childress officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Dillinger Funeral Home of Newport.
