Annual youth day was held at New Bethel A.M.E. Church Sunday, June 14, in Rosston. Rev. Jerry Bishop's son, Roman, brought the morning message. He is doing good just starting out.

Missionary Tessie Sanders Scott brought the evening message. She really did talk to the youth. Her mother, Mrs. Johnnie Marsh, is very proud of her. Guest choir was Mountain Men from Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prescott. Rev. Joe Battle is the pastor. He is some preacher. He can do it all, sing, preach and play the piano and organ. We really did have a good time.

Visitors in our home Saturday were Lavurine Stovall and daughter and her sister-in-aw, Cara Stovall, from Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Odessa Blackley from Los Angeles, Calif.

Our Sunday School congress will be held June 24, 25 and 26, at Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church in Prescott. Rev. Caulter is the pastor.

Mertis McNeely Green passed away Saturday in Dallas, Texas. She was visiting her children. Her funeral has not been set at this time. She was the sister of Mrs. Cleola Hopson.

Smith Lesslie Box is out of the hospital. Mrs. Allie Martin is not doing well at all. She has been around a long time.

James Johnson and wife Margie went to Muskegon, Mich., last week to their nephew's funeral.

Bobbie Joe Jackson had a stroke in Memphis, Tenn. He had taken some people over there. He lives in Rockford, Ill.

Edward Sanders went to Las Vegas to his granddaughter's graduation. I am sure he had a pleasant trip.
