Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday

evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.

Narcotics Anonymous now meets in Gurdon at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 353-6612.

Moms-In Touch prayer group for schools meets at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays at First Baptist Church. Call 887-6376 for additional information.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott in the Social Security room in the courthouse on Thursday, June 25, from 9 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible, call 1- 800-772-1213.

The Emmet Volunteer Fire Department has invited local and surrounding fire, police and sheriff departments to the challenge of the annual tug-o-war competition June 27 during its annual Fun-Fest. For more information, contact Frank Faulkner at 887-5670.

The Callaway-Holder annual family reunion will meet Sunday, June 28, at DeGray Lake at Caddo Bend pavilion.

Anyone who has connection or ties to either of these pioneer families is invited to come and bring your lunch. Potluck lunch will be spread at noon.

There will be a singing at Morris Baptist Church Thursday, June 25, at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Homecoming at Morris Baptist Church will be Sunday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m. Devotional will be led by Bro. Bob Lunsford and preaching by Bro. Tal Webb, pastor.

Lunch will be at noon and singing will follow in the afternoon. The Messengers of Hope is planning to be present. Come join us and bring a special.
