Julie Bruno was named to Southern Nazarene honor roll and received the President's Scholarship.

Bruno is a freshman with a major in music education and chemistry.

She is a 1997 graduate of Prescott High School. She is the daughter of Buddy and Janice Carter, great granddaughter of the late Ollie Mangold of Prescott, granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Jack B. Loe of Enid Okla., and sister of Christina Bruno of Bethany, Okla.

Elizabeth Purtle from Prescott is among 1,354 students enrolled for the summer semester at Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee, Okla.

OSU-Okmulgee is the only college in Oklahoma established specifically for technical education. It offers college-level technical/occupational programs of study in 11 major disciplines.

Students graduating from OSU-Okmulgee can earn the associate of applied science degree and be certified by the college's unique graduate performance guarantee.

She is enrolled in accounting technology.
