4-H NewsPublished Wednesday, June 24, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Nevada County 4-H Corral Club participated in the Southwest District Horse Show in Hope on June 5. Those participating were Lindsey Powell, Brody and Logan Joyce and Justin and Cole Hillery. The day opened with each county being represented during opening ceremony. The first events were calf roping and goat tying followed by western pleasure and ending with the speed events. Each youth went home with better knowledge of horsemanship, new friends and many awards. Anyone interested in joining the Nevada County 4-H Corral Club can call 887-2818 or 887-2207.
