The 'Firecracker 500' is a special events blood drive that the Red Cross sponsors every summer in hopes of creating more awareness for the need to donate blood. Special Red Cross design t-shirts for the communities who participate. Every seven minutes someone in the Greater Ozarks-Arkansas Region needs blood. In just eight minutes you can help save the lives of up to three people. If you would like more information on blood donation or to schedule a blood drive, call 1- 800-448-3543.
