We were saddened by the death of Ollie Pinkerton of Camden this week. The funeral was at Trinity Baptist Church and burial was at Willisville. Ollie was the mother of Vera Lee Dixon of Tyler, Texas. They used to come to church at Rosston. She was such a sweet person and a good Christian.

We were also saddened by the death of Jackie Cross' brother of Dias. He had been ill for some time. Jackie has had a hard time trying to care for her mother and visit him too. Please remember both of these families in your prayers.

Our pastor's wife, Laura Ward, left Monday for a week's schooling in Little Rock. Please pray for her safe journey. They spent last week vacationing in Eureka Springs. They saw the Passion Play and took a 2+- hour tour of the Holy Land which impressed them very much.

Leonard Goodwin has suffered a few little strokes and is in Magnolia Hospital.

Perna Mason spent a few days in the Hope hospital last week after having a little stroke. She spent several days with her daughter, Susan, of Camden, but is home now taking care of herself. Ruth Vinson and I visited with her a while on Saturday evening.

Jimmy and Booie Williams of Prescott, Tori and Kathryne Rocole of Magnolia and Roscoe and I had supper on Friday night at the Feed House in Magnolia. They treated Roscoe for Father's Day as Jimmy had to work Sunday.

Max and Ruth Hill of Dallas are spending the week in Rosston. They are trying to finish the new room on their vacation home here. They attended church on Sunday morning and Roscoe and I had steak supper with them before church Sunday evening. We visited Jimmy and Booie Williams in Prescott after church.

Valeria O'Keefe's daughter-in-law, Debbie O'Keefe, of Longview, Texas, had thyroid surgery this past week and got a good report.

Bro. Bowman's wife, Nettie Ann, of Bodcaw Church is home, but she is not doing well. Please pray for them.

Our neighbor, Ricky Butler, has sold his house here and moved back to Hope. We will be getting some new neighbors soon, a couple from Magnolia.

Central Baptist Church at Prescott is honoring Reagan Huett and Marty Williams of Texarkana with a wedding shower in the fellowship hall on Thursday evening at 7:30. They will be getting married there on August 8. Bro. Tom Mitchell is coming back to Prescott to perform the ceremony. Marty's mother, Brenda Vandever of Midland, Texas, will fly to Texarkana this week to attend the shower. Marty is our grandson. We wish them much happiness. Myself and several ladies from Rosston plan to attend the shower.

Sherry Dillard Clark had minor surgery in Texarkana this week and is recuperating at home.

Bless all our sick people, it seems there are many right now.
