RedlandHazel MeeksPublished Wednesday, June 24, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Still not much change in weather in these parts, but we did get 1 + inches of rain. Neil's brother, Doyle, and niece, Donna Schmidt, and her husband, Werner, from Longview, Texas, visited us on Sunday. Karen, Tim, Brena, Aderin and Dalton Shafer from Lolita, Texas, recently visited Audrey and Kermit Nix. Perry, Melissa, Chantz and Callie Cox from Russelville spent Friday night with their grandparents, Pershing and Mary Cox. Clark, Myla, Garrett and Darby Crellin spent last weekend in Mississippi visiting his sister. Paul, Kim, Trent and Katy Cox had Father's Day lunch with her parents, Polly and Benny Phillips. Mike Ridling had Sunday lunch with his parents, Bill and Lela Faye Ridling. Another son, Bill Jr., and his wife, Donna, has been here visiting them as well. Mike and Connie Cox and girls from Camden honored their fathers and wives, Pershing and Mary Cox and Billy and Frankie Wilson, from Arkadelphia by taking them to Little B's in Hope on Father's Day. Our kids really surprised us on Saturday at the home of Randy, Charity and Caleb Lowdermilk for Father's Day, Mother's Day and both of our birthdays. Those attending were Tim and Betty Wilson from Texarkana, Chris and Ginger Meeks from Dallas, Texas, and Casey Meeks from Ole Miss. It was so good to be with our daughter-in-law and her husband and grandkids, Casey, Charity, Chris and Caleb. My thought: A friend is one who knows all about you and likes you just the same. Those having Father's Day lunch with George and Joy Cox were Gary, Gawyn, Grant and Gigi Golden from Murfreesboro and Danny, Lisa, Kyle and Caley Pennington.
