All the deer and squirrels had better take cover. The hunters are beginning to descend on our part of the county.

I think the fish in Caney Creek are beginning to get worried. There is little water for them to live in.

Mary Gosvenor's uncle, Mr. Harold Hambrice, of Magnolia passed away recently. Our sympathy is extended to this family.

Joshua Moore, a great grandson of Doris Barlow, was scheduled to have some tests done at a Little Rock hospital last week. I haven't heard any later news.

Rex Hildebrand's nephew is still recovering from his accident several weeks ago in Wyoming. He is out of the hospital now, but will still have to have more surgery to repair damage to his ankle.

The resurfacing of Highway 24 through Bluff City is now complete. I'm sure people are glad to be able to pass on through without being stopped by a flagger for up to fifteen minutes at a time.

Here's a statement from The Clown's Prayer' which contains some good advice for all of us: "As I travel through this life, help me to create more laughter than tears, dispense more happiness than gloom and spread more cheer than despair."
