Vandiver, Adkins Nuptials Scheduled Next YearPublished Wednesday, June 24, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesMr. and Mrs. William Vandiver of Arkadelphia announce the engagement of their daughter, Kari Elizabeth, to Jason Conrad Adkins, son of Mr. Robert Adkins of Arkadelphia and Mrs. Deborah Pippin of Clinton. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Vandiver of Gurdon and the late Thomas J. and Elizabeth Sue Key. She is a 1996 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and is currently a junior at Henderson State University, majoring in business management. She is employed by the Clark County Sheriff's Department. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Octavia Adkins of Minden, La., and the late Conrad Adkins and Mrs. Ruth Vandergriff of Benton and the late Pete Vandergriff. He is a 1995 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and attended Henderson State University. He is employed by Red Ball Oxygen. The wedding is set for March 27, 1999.
