Frances Jane MalcomPublished Wednesday, June 24, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesFrances Jane Hardin Malcom, 77, of Gurdon, died Thursday, June 18, 1998. Mrs. Malcom was born October 27, 1920, in Arkadelphia. She was a homemaker and a member of Beech Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Malcom was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Malcom, and her parents, John and Mary Hardin. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Karol and Edwin Dale of Baton Rouge, La., and Paula Jane and J.L. Griffin of Gurdon; four grandchildren, Jennifer Young of Baton Rouge, La., Meredith Holmes of Dallas, Texas, and Wade and Justin Griffin of Gurdon. Graveside services were Saturday, June 20, in Okolona Cemetery with Mike Holmes officiating. Arrangements were by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
