Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, June 24, 1998 in the Gurdon Times It has been a busy month of June for the Gurdon Senior Adult Center. Bingo was to be played Monday and a gospel trio was to sing Tuesday. Rhonda Sharp will speak on Wednesday on pollution information. Friday, May 26, we are having an auction inside the center building. The proceeds will go to the center. Those having birthdays during June were R.L. Smart, Lora Ross, Pauline Bufford, Harrell Everett, Bernest Stephens, Betty Smart, Bettye Horne, Thomasene Stanffer, Donald Patterson, Gladys Sherman and Shirley Francis. They will enjoy the beautiful cake at the birthday celebration on June 30. Cindy Rhodes, our activity director, is making plans for events for July. We welcome anyone 60 and over to come and join us.
