Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, July 1, 1998 in the Gurdon Times A gospel trio sang for the Gurdon Senior Adult Center on May 23. An auction was held on June 26. We wish to thank those who donated items to the center for the auction. Bingo will be played each Monday. Those with birthdays in June were R. L. Ross, Artie Young, Ellis Stafford, Gladys Roe, Joe Smart, Lora Ross, Pauline Buford, Harrell Everett, Bernest Stephens, Betty Smart, Bettye Horne, Thomasene Stauffer, Donald Patterson, Gladys Sherman and Shirley Francis. We wish to thank Piggly Wiggly for donating the birthday cake. The parties were held on June 30. Our activity director is working on activities for the month of July. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
