Mattie Frances BarberPublished Wednesday, July 1, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesMattie Frances Barber, 85, of Okolona, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Pineview Nursing Home in Gurdon. Mrs. Barber was born in Gurdon September 4, 1912, the daughter of William and Fannie Cagle. She was the widow of Tommie Barber. Mrs. Baber was a homemaker and a member of Center Grove United Methodist Church, where she was the church pianist for over 50 years. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Tommie Lou and Mack McCauley of Okolona and Mary Frances and Bill Faulkner of Rogers; one brother, Billy Cagle of Thayne Wyo.; four grandchildren, Mark A. McCauley, Marilyn K. McCauley, Melina Cade and Susan Faulkner; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary William Cade, Emily Kathryn Cade, Hannah Frances Cade and Jacob Barber Cade. Funeral services were Monday, June 29, at Center Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. David Moore and Rev. Maurice Burroughs officiating.
