All Stars Go To Hampton

It's tournament time for Gurdon's Little League baseball team.

This year, the tourney will be held at Hampton, not Warren as previously reported. It will be a double-elimination event, concluding July 20, with a game between the winner of the winner's bracket and the consolation bracket.

The tourney opens Friday, July 10, with an 8 p.m. game between Fordyce and Cannan. Action resumes Saturday, July 11 at 2 p.m. with Smackover tangling with Prescott. Gurdon will be up next, as the team locks horns with Bearden.

At 8 p.m., Hampton will play the winner of the Fordyce-Cannan contest, but Sparkman and Rosston will tangle in the 6 o'clock contest.

The tourney winner will move on to the state tournament at Pea Ridge July 25.
