Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991. Narcotics Anonymous now meets in Gurdon at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 353-6612. Moms-In Touch prayer group for schools meets at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays at First Baptist Church. Call 887-6376 for additional information. A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott in the Social Security room in the courthouse on Thursday, July 23, August 27 and September 24 from 9 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible, call 1- 800-772-1213. Billy and Vickie Hines of Prescott announce the arrival of their daughter, Hannah Raelyn, born Friday, June 19, 1998, at 10:24 p.m. Hannah weighed seven pounds and 5 ounces. She was 18+ inches long. She joins brothers, Kiley, Cameron and David and sisters Lesley and Melanie. Her grandparents are Eugene and Doris Bobo of Hope and the late J.D. and Dorothy Hines of Prescott. The Emmet School board will have its regular monthly meeting Monday, July 6, at 7 p.m. in room 4. The agenda includes elementary and high school principals' reports, superintendent's report and summer school report. The board will also consider bids on milk, bread, carpet cleaning and fire extinguisher service, as well as the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 budgets, and personnel matters. The Hope Quilter's Guild will hold its monthly business meeting Monday, July 6, at 7 p.m. in the Citizens National Bank conference room, located at 3rd and Elm Streets in Hope.
