Pageant Theme Set

"New York, New York", focusing on Broadway productions, is this year's theme for the Miss Nevada County Fair pageants.

Contestants must legally reside in the county they represent for six months immediately preceding the county contest or must be a full-time student in that county for one full semester immediately preceding that county's contest. In the event that a contestant legally resides in one county, but is attending school in a different county in Arkansas, he or she may compete at the county level in one and only one of those two counties.

Age 12 months to 13 years will compete in pageant attire on stage and in the photogenic and optional composite categories.

Ages 14-21 will compete in pageant dress on stage, photogenic, interview and on-stage sportswear.

Fair Queen contestants will compete in all of the above categories plus swimwear on stage.

All contestants will ride in the fair parade on Tuesday, September 22, in pageant attire or dressing with the theme of the fair.

All contestants must submit a photograph for judging, 8x10 only; no glamour shots or previous pageant pictures. Photos must be turned in with entry form by the entry deadline.

Entry forms for the 1998 Nevada County Fair Pageants are available at the Prescott- Nevada County Chamber of Commerce.

Entry deadline is August 29. You may return your form before then, or on the 29th at the fairgrounds.
