CaneyRuby WickerPublished Wednesday, July 1, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Dorothy Appel has just returned from a two-week vacation with friends and relatives. She flew to Cincinnati to visit her sister-in-law, Catherine Mayner, and also to visit her niece in Indiana. Upon her return, she was met in Little Rock by her niece, Janet Hammon, and Jim. They brought her home and visited with Janet's mother, Retta McBride. Russell Smith will be going to Little Rock Thursday for knee surgery and his grandmother, Helen May, will also be going to the doctor in Little Rock. She has been having knee pains. Margie Atkins visited her mother, Ester Green, in Pinehope Nursing Home in Hope Tuesday. Larry and Nancy Rhodes and Nancy's mother, Mrs. Tuttle, visited her mother, Retta, and Wallace McBride last weekend. I visited a few minutes last week in Hillcrest Care Center with Lois Wicker, Alice Grimes and Sue Hill from Pike County. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
