Elizabeth Davis Smith, 85, of Prescott died Saturday, July 4, 1998, at St. Michael Health Care Center in Texarkana, Texas.

Mrs. Smith was born July 21, 1912, in Prescott to Will V. and Jessie Lowdermilk Ellis. She was a retired owner/operator of Davis' Caf in Prescott and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elbert Davis and Jack Smith, by one daughter, Hazel Hill, and two brothers, Leon and Howard Ellis.

Survivors include two sons, William Edward Davis of Texarkana, Texas, and James Larry Davis of Prescott; one daughter, Bettie Lou McHenry of Hope; and seven grandchildren, Dr. Kay Solar of Baton Rouge, La., Mark McHenry of Grapevine, Texas, Patia Davis-Stanley of Jacksonville, Josh Davis, Jeffery Davis and Jessica Davis, all of Texarkana, and Deborah Strickland of Foreman; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 7, at Brazzel/Cornish Chapel with Gene Cloer officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
