Irvin B. DavisPublished Wednesday, July 8, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneIrvin B. Davis Jr., 78, of Emmet died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at Little Rock Veterans Hospital. Mr. Davis was born February 4, 1920, in Nevada County to Irvin Davis and Fern Feltner Davis. He was a retired sawyer and a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Davis was a member of the VFW and Liberty Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Iva Lee Collier Davis of Emmet; two sons, Ben Davis of Hope and Gerry Davis of Emmet; two sisters, Mildred Aslin of Baton Rouge, La., and Mary Jane Lambert of Emmet; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Saturday, July 4, at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Buddy McKamie officiating. Burial was under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope.
