There is really no relief from the heat in our part of Arkansas.

Billie Ridling is what I would call a real gad-about. On the 13th of June she made a trip with the Trailblazers through Michigan, Wisconsin and into Canada. She returned on the 24th and on the 26th she and Ronnie, Terri and Megan Vandiver spent a week at Gulf Shores, Ala., They are now happy to be home.

I want to apologize to these ball players, especially to the parents for overlooking them last week. Congratulations to Ross Pilgreen and Grant Crellin for making the Junior Little League team. Trent Cox has been named to the Prescott Little League All-Star Team. Good luck to both teams in the tournament in Sparkman.

Danny, Lisa, Kyle and Caley Pennington and Louise Willis enjoyed the Fourth of July with George and Joy Cox.

Roy and Betty Cagle and George and Joy Cox visited Bobby and Pal Whitmarsh in Hope on Friday night.

Danny, Lisa, Kyle and Caley Pennington spent last week on De-Gray Lake.

Danny, Cherrie and Katy Wilson have been vacationing in northern Arkansas, Branson, Mo., and Silver Dollar City. On Friday Cherrie, Katy and Britney Pedigo enjoyed a movie in Texarkana.

Liberty Church of the Nazarene would like to invite everyone to come join their one day only Bible school on Saturday, July 11, from 12 to 4:30.

Jeff, Laveta and Andy Davis from Hope spent the Fourth with his mother, Grady Faye Davis, and her mother's sister Betty Stinson.

It was a real honor for Darrel and Carrie Webb to have their kids, grandkids and great grandkids home for the Fourth of July.
