Purtle Attends SeminarPublished Wednesday, July 8, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneJane Purtle of Prescott was one of 19 participants in the Kappa State Leadership Seminar conducted recently at Heifer Project International at Perryville. The seminar was sponsored by the Arkansas division of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an organization that recognizes outstanding women educators. Designed to promote and develop leadership skills essential to personal and professional development, the four-day session covered topics including leadership styles, women's health issues and a safe, caring environment. Purtle, who teaches Spanish at Prescott High School, is the 1998-2000 president of the Upsilon Chapter in Nevada County.
