Fall Carnival Set At Cabe Middle School

Published Wednesday, October 6, 1999 in the Gurdon Times

Make plans to attend the Fall Carnival Tuesday, October 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the parking lot of Cabe Middle School. A chili supper will be served with crackers and drink, and topped off with the delicious cinnamon rolls in the cafeteria.

Adult meal will be $5 at the door and $4 if tickets are purchased early. Students tickets are $3. Such a great way to have dinner out for the whole family.

Several activities are planned for the enjoyment of all ages. Visit Cynthia Anderson's baseball toss, then try your hand at Julia Smithson's football toss. Michaelyn Morehead is in charge of the dart game, (sounds easy, but can you bust a balloon with a dart from a distance away?).

Debbie Davies and Catherine Square will have bingo in the media center, while Florede Briscoe and Barbara Dickens will be conducting the Coke walk on the parking lot.

Cabe Junior High cheerleaders will be giving away one of the Go- Devil Throws to the lucky ticket holder.

The Beta Club will be selling snow cones. Also, Keri Green will make you look really great when she paints fingernails and faces.

The toy store will be open for the kids and there will be a lot of toys to choose from for purchasing.

You can try to make a hole in one at the golf course, or get the eight ball in the pocket at the pool hall. Be sure to see if you can get a strike at the bowling alley.

For lots of fun and to keep from being bored, visit the Beta Club's cow chip bingo. We know that a lot of the students are eagerly waiting for the famous dunking booth, as they have a very special person who they are ready to dunk. Wonder who that could be?

Kay Downey will be having a lot of fun and you will be amazed at what happens to you when she is using the digital camera. Come on, get in on the fun.

Proceeds from the carnival will go to the accelerated reading program for the purchase of new library books and for playground equipment, which is needed so badly.

Tickets will be 4 for $1. Some booths may require two tickets to play, but most only one ticket.
