Loan Provisions Noted

Published Wednesday, July 15, 1998 in the Gurdon Times

David Goodson, County Executive Director, Clark County Farm Services Agency (FSA) reminds producers of the following loan provisions for warehouse-stored commodities:

  • Contract commodities are eligible for CCC loans if the commodity was produced on a farm subject to a production flexibility contract.
  • Oilseeds are eligible for loan regardless of whether the oilseeds were produced on a participating farm.
  • Substituted or purchased commodities are ineligible for loan.
  • The loan rate is determined where the grain is initially stored, except when the grain is physically moved to another location for storage. The loan rate for a commodity stored in an approved UGRSA warehouse is for the county where the commodity is stored, adjusted for premiums and discounts.
Producers who have questions about the CCC loan policy should contact the FSA office at 1030 Village Dr. in Arkadelphia or call 870-246-9816. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
