Published Wednesday, July 15, 1998 in the Gurdon Times

Warrie Taylor, his parents and grandparents and his family were from Greene County, Missouri.

Warrie, Martha and children lived in Republic and Springfield, Mo., before moving to Clark County after 1900. They left paved roads and water at their house to move to Arkansas to dirt roads and had to carry water a distance to get it for their every need.

Nine of their children were born in Missouri and two in Clark County.

The Taylors lived in the Hearn Community, Taylor Road area in Gurdon, and on the Hollywood Road in Clark County.

The family had annual reunions at Warrie and Martha's house until several family members died young and Martha said that it was too hard on her to miss the members at the gatherings.

A reunion was enjoyed by many of the family members when daughter, Evie Taylor Terrell, and her family would visit from California every few years.
