James Gentry Starling

James Gentry Starling, 72, of Delight died Wednesday, July 8, 1998, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs.

Mr. Starling was born on May 7, 1926, in Delight to Quincy B. and Beulah L. White Starling. He was a retired owner/operator of Starling Construction Company, a member of the Church of Christ at Antoine, and a Mason, being a member of Pisgah Lodge 250 F.& A.M. and also a 32nd degree Mason and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Louise Wilkerson Starling, who died in 1995, and by one son, James Michael Starling, in 1986.

Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Ann Gordon of Delight; one sister, Patsy Priscilla Wilson of Delight; four grandchildren, Che M. Gordon, Candi Gordon, Robyn M. Starling and Jamie L. Starling, all of Delight; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Friday, July 10, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Luther Lott, Harold Prestly and Randy Hughes officiating. Burial was in Antoine Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
