Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, October 6, 1999 in the Gurdon Times Last Friday Charlotte Shepherd and some of the center ladies went shopping in Prescott. The week of October 4-8, we will have bingo, consumer alerts, music, information on fire prevention, puzzles and games. Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful, cool weather. Some of the center members are unable to be out because of sickness. We wish them a speedy recovery. We wish to thank Thomason's Big Star for the cake they donated for September birthdays. There are many who contribute to the center and we want to thank each of them. The Chamber of Commerce meets the second Tuesday of the month at the center and the Rotary Club meets each Thursday. The Cover Girls are trying to quilt, but so many of us are not feeling as well as we did. We're still plugging along, trying to get the job done and are thankful to get the job done. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
