RosstonPublished Wednesday, July 15, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneMarguerite Williams Bro. Ray Bowman's wife, Nettie Ann, of Bodcaw was flown from Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock to Houston, Texas, on Thursday morning. She had heart surgery there Monday. Please pray for them at this critical time. Our pastor's son, P.J. Ward, celebrate his first birthday with a party in the fellowship hall of the church on Saturday afternoon. Laura served birthday cake and homemade ice cream to about 30 guests. Several others had July birthdays in our church, but I'm afraid I can't name them all. Roscoe and I went back to Little Rock on Tuesday and Wednesday for them to complete tests on Roscoe. He had a sonogram, CAT scan and aoratoagram. We didn't get a good report as they found an anuerysm in the aorta and also a small gallstone in his gall bladder. Its not an emergency, but we will return to Baptist Medical Center next Sunday, July 19, and have both surgeries on Monday, July 20. Please remember us in prayer as it is a very serious and lengthy operation. Johnny Walraven entered St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana Monday morning and probably had surgery. Please remember this family also. Lee Jarvis has been having trouble with his hip and not been able to be in church. Hope he will soon be better. Helen Daniel's grandson, Mark, of Texarkana remains about the same, but still needs our prayers. Roscoe and I had supper with the Bill Lusbys on Friday night in Camden. They are great grandparents. Grandson David Lindsey and wife have a new baby boy. They live in Denton, Texas. Jimmy and Booie Williams and A.B. and Maxine Luck were our guests after church on Sunday night. Lyn Dean Morman and Johnnie Fairchild were our guests on Saturday afternoon. Ted and Amy Morman have recently been on vacation in New Mexico with their mother. Bluff Springs church and Nubbin Hill are both in revival this week. Until next time may God bless you all and please remember us in your prayers.
