Still no rain. But it's thundering, so that gives us hope.

Word has been received that Jack Barham passed away at his home in Owasso, Okla. He was the son of the late Clint and Hannah Barham. He is survived by his wife Frances, three sons and one daughter.

Harvey and Ruth Barham from Dallas, Texas, spent the weekend at their home here. Visiting them on Saturday were Doyle Holt and a friend from Camden.

Bill Ridling Jr., spent a few days last week with his wife, Donna, and other relatives.

Those spending the weekend with Jackie and Frances Bidwell were Nell and Howard McDaniel from Monroe, La., Deanie and Bill Luck from Mt. Pleasant, Texas, their two sons and grandchildren Stuart, Kristi, Reagan and Tanner Luck, and Russell Luck all from Mt. Pleasant, Texas. This is a new one for me, but Bill cooked a piglet in the ground.

Ann and Dale Wylie from Hope visited her parents, Pershing and Mary Cox, on Sunday night.

Norman Gill from Camden and his mother, Mozell, spent the weekend in Dallas.

Paul and Ellen Nelson from Dallas recently visited his sisters, Nettie Lemons and Faye Andrews. Also recently visiting them was their niece, Judy Stokenberry, from Pawhuska, Okla. Judy is the daughter of the late Lewis and Cleo Sandusky.
