The weather is still hot and dry.

Our sons, Willie Hugh of Hot Springs and Charles of Maysville, S.C., spent a few days with us. Charles' wife spent one night with us and went to Fayetteville to be with her parents Friday night. Steven and Ammy Scoggin and son, Wyman, and Carolyn Hooks had supper and homemade ice cream with us.

Michael Moore of Georgia spent Wednesday night with his grandparents, Leonard and Faye House.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Jack Barham over his death. Francis Jones, Jack's wife, was raised in our community, if you would like to send her a card. Her address is 13013 E. 93rd Court North, Owasso, OK 74055.

Sue Austin went to see a doctor in Fort Worth. She and her mother, Katie Pittman, visited a few days with her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Marshall Roper, last week while there. In route home they had dinner with Joel and Juanita Ridgell of Texas.

Michael and Ben Ridgell has returned home to California after spending several weeks with their dad Paul Ridgell and wife Robin.

Bro. Keith Mauldin preached at Boughton Church Sunday.

Frank and Freddia, Terrell and Olgia and Donald and Patricia Ingersoll and several of their families, Elsie Elmore and Nadine Brown enjoyed a picnic lunch on Cold Run Creek Sunday.

Marie Loe visited her Aunt Annie Mae Hooks one day last week.

Melissa and Heather Blount are spending a few days with their grandmother, Mae Blount.

Annie Mae Hooks visited Mae Blount and Cathrine Hooks Sunday afternoon. Cathrine is home from the hospital, but she is still ill.

We are sorry to hear Lula Pruitt is in Columbia Medical Park Hospital.

A thought: wearing your halo too tight also gives other people a headache.
