We are still hot and very dry in this part of Arkansas.

First of all I want to tell all you readers how pleasantly surprised I was to get a phone call from one of our faithful readers, Rupert Andrews, in Baton Rouge, La. He asked about almost everyone he knew or went to school with.

Paul and Audry Curtis from Emerson spent one day last week with his sister and brother-in- law, Julene and Willie Hulan.

Gigi and Grant Golden had lunch with their grandparents, George and Joy Cox, on Tuesday.

Our grandson, Casey Meeks, and Josh Misner from 'Ole Miss' visited Neil and me on Saturday night.

Michael Mendez and family from Reese, Mich., visited their grandmother, Donnie Rinkle, last week.

Paul, Kim, Trent and Katy Cox has returned from a vacation trip to Silver Dollar City. They also attended the Passion Play and other points of interest.

Garett and Darby Crellin spent last week with their grandparents, Dale and Roberta Crellin, in Slidell, La. On Sunday, Clark and Myla picked them up in Vicksburg, Miss.

Harvey and Faye Taylor visited her mother, Minnie Moore, who is quiet ill in Camden on Sunday.

Kim Cottingham and Terri Vandiver spent Thursday night with Donna Graham in Little Rock.

If so much money wasn't deducted from your pay check for social security, unemployment, insurance and pension plans, perhaps you wouldn't need social security, unemployment, insurance or pension plans.
