Miss SWAR Pageant July 25Published Wednesday, July 22, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe 1999 Miss Southwest Arkansas and Miss Teen Southwest Arkansas-America pageants will be held July 25 at the Klipsch Auditorium in Hope. Competition begins at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $6 per person. Two local beauties will be competing. Jessie Ward, daughter of Ned and Karen Ward, is vying for the title of Miss Southwest Arkansas and Laura Beth Williams, daughter of Ronnie and Carol Williams, is vying for the title of Miss Teen Southwest Arkansas-America. The winners of these pageants will represent southwest Arkansas in the state pageants in June of 1999. Giving away of the crowns will be done by Miss Southwest Arkansas, Shari Payne, and Miss Teen Southwest Arkansas-America, Mistie Holley of Prescott.
