Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday

evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.

Moms-In-Touch prayer group will meet August 4 at First Baptist Church at 1:15. Any mother interested in meeting to pray for one hour for our children and school call 887-6376 for additional information.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott in the Social Security room in the courthouse on Thursday, July 23, August 27 and September 24 from 9 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible, call 1- 800-772-1213.

Nevada County Recycle and Work Center summer schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pickups will be available on these days only. You may continue to drop off your items Sunday through Saturday as the bins are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you need further assistance you can call Elaine Williams at 887- 6750.

The chamber coffee will be hosted by the Nevada County Ambulance Service Thursday, July 23, from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

The coffee will be held at the chamber office.

Vacation Bible School, 'Anchors Away,' will be at Morris Baptist Church on Saturday, July 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Morris Baptist will be in revival July 27-31 at 7:30 each night. Bro. Bob Goodnight will be the evangelist.

White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at DeAnn will be holding a revival July 27 through July 31 at 7 p.m. Bro. Jay Pollan of Unity Baptist Church will be the evangelist.

Liberty Church of the Nazarene will have revival July 24-28 starting at 7 p.m. with Rev. and Mrs. Harrell Rodebush from Oklahoma City as the evangelists.
