Prescott Board Hires New StaffBY RICKY RAGSDALEPublished Wednesday, July 22, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Eight new staff members were hired by the Prescott School board during a special session on Tuesday, July 21. Stan Moorman was hired as Prescott High School math teacher after the board accepted the resignation of Sherri Smith in the same position. Tammy Glass was hired by the board for the math position at the Prescott Middle School. Other staff members in the district hired included: Mildred Scott and Krista Webb as Prescott Elementary School (PES) Chapter I Aides; Kelly Jones as PES Parent Center Director and Coordinator; Lamar Dixon and Kelly Jones were hired as custodians; and Beck Meador was hired as Special Education Teacher Aide. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
