Friendship Baptist Church in Curtis Saturday and Sunday, July 25 and 26, at 7:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday night will be home comers and their guests. Sunday's special guests include Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church of Prescott and Union Hill Baptist Church of Lewisville. Rev. Fred L. Walters, pastor and speaker. Rev. Louis Jones, pastor. Shady Grove Baptist Church in Beirne will celebrate its annual homecoming and church anniversary Sunday, July 26, at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. Special guest will be New Mt. Zion Baptist of Gurdon. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker. Other home comers are also on program. Rev. O.J. Newburn, pastor. The Gurdon Community Choir is special guest. The Welch reunion will be Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25, in Little Rock. It is sponsored by Fred and Geneva Shells. For more information, you may contact Shells at 501-664- 7763. Tenth annual homecoming of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church will be Sunday, August 2, at 3:00 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guest will be Union Baptist Church of Hot Springs. Rev. Douglas Jones, pastor and speaker. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor. Sunday, August 2, at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Charles Gatlin of Little Rock will be the special guest at St. Clair Baptist Church in Burtsell. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Rev. L.B. Beard is the pastor. Revival services are in session July 20-24 at Eastern Star Baptist Church in Smithton. Everyone is invited to attend at 7:00 nightly. Evangelist for the week is Rev. Raymond Clayborn, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Royce City, Texas. Rev. Marshall Allen, pastor. Rev. Clayborn is the brother of Barbara Dickens of Gurdon. The Southwest District Baptist Congress will convene with Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Ashdown August 3-7. Dr. J.N. McCollum, president Dr. W.Q. Keaton, dean, Dr. C.K. Yarber, moderator, and Rev. John T. Allen, host pastor. Sunday, August 2, at 3:00 p.m. the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church family will celebrate its pastor and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. John T. Allen, pastor's anniversary. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guests will be Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Okolona and Harrison Chapel Baptist Church of Delight. Rev. Rufus R. Hatley, pastor and speaker. Others are also on the program. Rev. John T. Allen, pastor. The second annual inter-denominational tent revival in Gurdon will be held August 2-8. The event will start at 7:00 nightly. Rev. Ronald Scott, pastor of Muldrew Chapel C.M.E.
