Gurdon Man Dies In AccidentPublished Wednesday, July 22, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesA 31-year-old Gurdon man was killed recently in a motorcycle accident. According to reports, Clifton Ray Hurst, 31, was headed west in Curtis Thursday, July 16, at approximately 2:30 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding. The motorcycle then flipped over. Hurst was pronounced dead at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. According to reports, this brings the state's total of traffic-related deaths to 327 for this time of the year. Last year at this time, 350 people had lost their lives in traffic accidents.
