Deadline Is Aug. 9 For FairPublished Wednesday, July 29, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesEntry forms must be completed and returned to the Clark County Cooperative Extension office by August 19 if you are planning on entering the fair talent contest, Fair Queen or Little Miss Beauty pageant. The talent contest is open to anyone 6 to 21 years, never been married, nor had children and has been a resident of Clark County for one year. Performances may be solo or small group (up to four people) plus accompanist. Acts may be vocal, instrumental, dance, drama, or comedy (no lip sync). Auditions will be held on August 16 in the Arkadelphia High School auditorium at 2:00 p.m. Ten acts may be chosen from those who audition to compete in the talent contest held in conjunction with the Fair Queen and Little Miss Pageant. The Fair Queen contestants must be 16 on or before the day of the pageant, not over 21, and never married nor had children. Little Miss contestants must be four to six years old and not yet enrolled in first grade. Both Fair Queen and Little Miss contestants must have been full time residents of Clark County for at least one year. Entry forms may be picked up at the Cooperative Extension office, 423 Clay St., or any Arkadelphia bank for either the talent or beauty pageant.
